I Am Bullied

You’re being bullied and you don’t know what to do? First of all, you have to know that it is not your fault. Now that you know that, make sure to do the following:

Tell the person bullying you to stop: Be calm and have a clear voice when you do that. You can also try to laugh it off if joking is easier to you. This way you will show them that you are not taking them seriously!

Your feelings should not stay inside you: It is helpful if you tell someone, they will make you feel less alone and make a plan with you to stop bullying.

There is always a way to stay safe at school: You should never be scared to go to school because it is your right to be there! You can stay safe by staying away from anyone who is involved in the bullying. Fin a group of friends when you don’t feel safe, they got your back.

Find someone to walk home with: Sometimes, bullying happens on your way back home. If this is happening to you, you might feel it is hard to stay away from the bullies; this is why walking home with someone helps!

Make sure your friends have your back: Friends are for each other, even if you don’t want to talk about it with them in detail, just ask for the support if you need help to make the bullying stop.

Don’t fight back: You might get in trouble or hurt if you fight back the kids involved in bullying. Trust us, it doesn’t make you feel weaker!

Don’t reply: If someone sent you an abusive message online or on your phone, replying will make you feel worse and the bullying worse. Tell someone, keep an evidence and block them!

Don’t feel pressured: If you do, you will give them the message that their bullying is actually working.

Keep evidence: Even if you don’t plan on telling anyone, writing down what happened or saving texts or screen shots is always a good idea. You never know when you might use them!
